So....its been awhile

Not really sure if anyone read this anymore, but I thought I'd try to update again. We'll see how it works:)

Over the past few years things have basically continued on  as normal. Girls are in school and sports (currently swimming). They are learning Spanish very well and Madison can hold conversations well and Jenna can understand and speak well too. Andrew is still at Lockheed and doing well there. I had a year and a half where I worked with the school district and that went ok, but made things around here hard and just wasn't a good fit for me. I will continue to stay home until another time down the road. Last year we bought a truck and then a trailer to go with it. Then Andrew bought a Jeep Cherokee to basically go off-roading with. He loves it and we have a good time with him when we go. So we are campers/out of towners now.

That is a short summary of what our lives look like right now. Hopefully more to come soon:)

I'm not a writer

Though I would love to be. I just can't figure out how to express myself adequately enough or find the right words for what is going on in my head just right, to be able to write. Maybe I'll get a "Writing for Dumbies" book:)

We have done some work on the basement since the last post, and I have taken pictures, but I need to take even more and get them on here. Hopefully in the next few days.

The last time I posted was the day Madison was set to have a sleep over that night for a friends birthday. While it wasn't her first sleep over I was a little concerned at how well she would do. She is my independent one:) and she did very well. Didn't want to leave the next morning:).

Since then I've found out that I have asthma, and have to use an inhaler. I'm having a hard time with that because I hate being sick and having to take medicine where the possilbe side affects are just about as bad as the illness itself. I just don't like it and I'm not being very cooperative with myself about using the inhaler. If I don't rince my mouth out after I use it I could get thrush. I'm a little worried about that, so I brush my teeth, tongue and sides of my mouth after using it. :) But I do feel better able to breath after using it, so I do. But only when I ABSOLUTELY need it;)

Other then that things have been pretty normal around here. Girls are doing good in school, we had curriculum meetings last week for them both and I got to see what they are doing and going to be doing. In Madison's class I was a little overwhelmed with the stuff she is expected to learn on top of learning another language. I felt like I needed to become a teacher just to help her out here at home. Also now with the school times change I'm wondering when she gets to be a kid and go outside and play?? They go to school at 9 and get out at 3:40. With home work and dinner in there, along with showers...when does she get to play? We'll work it out but sometimes I wonder if we are pushing our kids too hard to learning too much too young.

Alright that's enough for now, I'm off to take Jenna to school and to work at the school with the kids on hearing and vision tests:)

So now it's all updated...what now?

Well my goal would be to keep it that way. But life really does get in the way sometimes. Like right now with trying to finish the house. I'm soooooo greatful for this house, but its very hard to do anything extra right now. Our weeks are pretty normal, but busier because everything that we would usually do on the weekends is done during the week so that we can work downstairs on the weekends. Not that I'm complaining, I'm not. For the most part I enjoy the work we do down there. Maybe not every weekend, and especially not sanding after mudding. No!! But we want to get it done so that it doesn't take up every weekend for much longer. We would like our weekends back, but for now the basement comes first. And oh how nice will it be to have it done. We have been living in a smaller area then our previous house for almost a year now because our upstairs is less square footage then our other house. So to have that done and soooo much more space will be awesome. We will have a few places that we can have people over to spend the night even. How nice will that be. I'm so very excited that we got this house because I love opening my home to people and having them over. I love the feeling I get when I'm surrounded by people I love and care for. I love caring for them and serving them and one of my favorite ways is to have people over to my house so that I can make something for them or just to be here. Also just to have my family spread out a little more will be great. The girls can play in their own area instead of on my dining room table, they will have more room in their bedrooms. Soon:)

So for now this is updated and I hope to be able to get on here once a week and update with a picture or story or something. Just keep coming back and I'll do my best to keep posting. I love doing it as it is a great outlet.

Thanks!!

Camping '11

So we went on two camping trips this summer. One in early July and one two weeks later in late July. The first was to an island in the Columbia about an hour away. It was nice.

Here's Andrew, just can't put the phone down no matter what.

Madison riding around. Lots of room to ride.

Caught him off guard. That smile right there is one thing I love about him.
